The port of Ruse




The Port of Ruse is the biggest Bulgarian river port on the Danube. It has a key position along the Pan-European Transport Corridors:

  • Corridor VІІ – Rein-Main-Danube
  • Corridor ІХ - Helsinki - St. Petersburg - Moscow - Kiev - Bucharest – Ruse - Dimitrovgrad – Alexandroupolis
  • The route of the silk – combined transport of transit cargoes via the link Varna - Ruse
  • Corridor TRASEKA – passes through the territories of 12 countries and connects Asia and the Caucasus countries (Uzbekistan – Azerbajan – Georgia) with Western Europe.

The port of Ruse is a multimodal transport center and provides a suitable connection between three modes of transport – water, rail and road transport. 

The port is directly connected to the national rail and road network of Bulgaria.

The port of Ruse has two cargo terminals Ruse-east and a passenger quay, located at the center of the town.
